Healthy Quick Bites
We moms always take care and want our kid to
have best nutritious food in their diet. Also we follow it most of the time, but have you
realised that normally we follow it only for their main meal. Isnt it ?? ☺
For their short hunger pangs, we normally do not bother much and want to feed them quick bites like chips, biscuits or any packed items which normally aren’t healthy and affect the metabolism of the child right from childhood . Well, I have a solution to this problem.
I am listing a few quick bites here, which I normally feed to my one year old son Hridaan for his little hunger pangs which are quick, interesting and most importantly healthy. Here we go !!

Makhana (Lotus seeds)
Try
this a very very nutritious and easily chewable food item . Kids who do not
even have teeth can easily have it . My son Hridaan enjoys it a lot and I feed
him this whenever he feels a bit hungry.
Makhana
are high in fibre , low in cholesterol, saturated fat and sodium. They are an extremely good source of
manganese, potassium, magnesium, thiamin, protein and phosphorus.
Cheese 😋
Who
doesn’t love cheese ??☺... Hridaan loves it a lot and I am sure every kid does.
One cube of cheese works wonders for short
pangs when I am looking for something which I can feed easily at home or when I
am out .
Cheese has merits , including its bone-building calcium which is very necessary for growing children . Cheese contains a host of nutrients like calcium, protein, phosphorus, zinc, vitamin A and vitamin B12 . Just make sure you do not feed in excess . Hridaan normally has 1 cube of cheese in a day or maximum 2 if we are travelling.Have a cheesy day babies :)
A slice of cucumber
A slice of cucumber is refreshing which Hridaan often has and
I can offer this to him anytime. Don’t wait for any specific time. Just
cut a slice and hand it over to your kid anytime. They enjoy having it as it’s
easy to chew and also very refreshing. The best part is I can freely ask them
to hold it and enjoy. I don’t have to bother about clothes getting dirty nor
even the floor 😝
It is very refreshing and hydrating for kids. It has array of
benefits including potassium, fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K
and magnesium . So just let your loved ones be more hydrated and healthier
